It’s with a mix of deep gratitude and sadness that I share the news that I’ll be leaving my position of Executive Director of the Basic Needs Giving Partnership. I’ll be moving to Denver to be closer to my aging parents. This decision has not been made lightly, as I’m leaving behind a community I’ve worked so closely with and have developed deep appreciation for. The relationships we’ve cultivated over the years have made my role here incredibly meaningful. I let the board know that I am committed to working closely with them and staff to ensure a smooth transition over the next several months.

I came to Green Bay in the summer of 2016 for similar personal reasons—this time to be closer to my sister. I didn’t know what awaited me here other than an opportunity to create new memories with my sister and deepen our relationship. I’m happy to say we did that, and in ways I couldn’t have predicted. I also had the great fortune of being hired by U.S. Venture to lead the POINT Regional Poverty Initiative under the Basic Needs Giving Partnership umbrella. I learned so much in that role while facilitating action groups and creating spaces for people to come together to learn and collaborate.

Over these last 4 years in particular, I had the opportunity to grow into my current role of co-creating and managing the next iteration of the Basic Needs Giving Partnership. One of the things I’m most proud of is how this work has transformed over the years and how so many of us in the region have had a hand in truly building it together. We’ve laid a strong foundation—including an amazing staff and board—that will continue to inspire collaboration, drive positive change, and advance our mission and vision in meaningful ways.

As I prepare to transition out of my role, I want to assure you that the future of the partnership remains bright. I have the utmost confidence in the leadership and vision of the board and staff, and I remain deeply committed to supporting a successful transition process in the months ahead.

I’m grateful for the words of support and kindness I’ve received so far, and I’m comforted by the fact that I know many of our connections and relationships will last beyond this change in geography.

If you have any questions about the transition, please don’t hesitate to reach out using the form in our website footer.

With Deep Gratitude,

Lynn Coriano
Executive Director
